Any reason why I should want to use XLR connectors rather than TRS cables to go from keyboard to small mixer, keyboard to powered speakers, keyboard to power amp? If you've got neither, what would be your first purchase?
And here's a second consideration -- I also play guitar through a modeler (Pod HD) and bass through both a modeler and sometimes through a bass amp (Carvin BX1500), most of which have XLR output. I'm looking at picking up a fairly inexpensive mixer (~$100 range) to combine the whole mess before sending out to a PA or to a power amp running a pair of fEARless F115 cabinets. Would it change your mind on cabling with that in the works?
