Hi I have a Roland E 60 keyboard and I am wanting to use the arranger styles and midi files for some songs in conjunction with a live drummer and bass player, if I mute the drums and bass from the arranger is it possible to send a midi clock message via midi to an external drum module to trigger a click for the live drummer to hear to keep in time with the arranger?

It should be doable.

Most keyboards allow you to set the onboard MIDI clock to Master and send it out on a MIDI channel.

Just choose a backing channel that holds a steady beat, like the kickdrum and send it out to your drum machine.

Assuming you have no problems muting individual channels on the Roland I see no reason why it would not work.

Be sure you set the Drum Machine MIDI clock to Slave as well though.

Gary ;)
