They have PC and MAC versions, both are free for the basic version and it is a very, very and I mean very, powerful editing system. It is free because it lacks some high end broadcast output file formats but for Bluray and Youtube/Vimeo it is more than enough.
The features of the free version is akin to Vegas and Adobe Premiere which in perpetual licence form would each be about $500. Its amazing that they give it away for free.
Plenty of get you started tutorials and whilst it can look quite intimidating it is very easy for straightforward editing.
