Need keyboard recommendation! Help!!!!

I need a keyboard that can plug into a computer and retrieve synth/alternate keyboard sounds from programs such as Logic or Reason....preferably 61 keys semi weighted or weighted.

what is out there for me? i can't find anything that got great reviews.

budget is about $500-600

Your best bet is probably to peruse Guitar Center (http://www.guitarcenter.com/), Musician's Friend (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/), Sweetwater (http://www.sweetwater.com/), and any stores near you to see what's available in your price range.

I don't think you're going to find much for weighted and semi-weighted in 61 keys in your price range, though.

Do you need the computer to have sounds? If not, look at a midi controller. M-audio makes the Axiom and the Axiom Pro (the main difference being a feature called hyper-control; youtube axiom pro to see what that's about). Those would be in your price range.

The Novation Remote Sl and Compact Remote would also be in your range. Also, the Studiologic VMK-161plus and VMK-161org controllers. Most of these are semi-weighted (the studiologic VMK-161plus is fully weighted, whereas the VMK-161org is a waterfall semi-weighted organ-style keyboard).
