Hello everyone, my name is Ron and I am 60 years old.
I have been active in music for 48 years.
I started as a solo keyboard player and later joined a six-piece band where I met my current wife, Gerrie, with whom I have been married for 25 years this year; we have known each other for over 35 years.
Together with her, I formed a duo with which we performed in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium. In Germany, we performed for 16 years in various hotels in the Sauerland.
We provided music for many events such as weddings, birthdays, corporate parties, and village festivals.
Our repertoire consisted of approximately 450 songs, ranging from ballads to rock, country, oldies, blues, 60s, 70s, and 80s, et cetera.
We recorded various singles with producer Martin Sterken, a few of which were well received in the country music world by UK Country Radio and Eagle Country Radio (Fr), among others. These singles have also been picked up by Unsigned Only (Nashville, USA).
After more than 46 years, we have decided to stop performing live. It took too much energy because we also had regular jobs on the side. Now we enjoy the music in our home studio https://gerrie-and-ron.jimdosite.com/
At the moment, I am still playing on a Genos 1, but this will be replaced by a Ketron SD9 at the end of August.
Furthermore, I work with Cubase 15Pro, a Behringer X32 rack, and Sontronic Solo microphones.
