P-115 to iPad connection problem

Hello,
I've just bought a brand new yamaha P-115 and bought also a second hand iPad mini 2 with a lightning2usb connector. I've dowloaded the yamaha "digital piano controller" and tried to use the iPad to control the keyboard. The app works but very quickly looses the connection with the P-115 and the "Connect" green light in the app turns off. Impossible then to connect again. I need to reboot the ipad, turn off and on again the keyboard.
Any help is highly appreciated. I wouldn't have bought all these otherwise ....

Solved. I've tried a friend lightning to usb adapter and it worked. Then, I've ordered a new adapter and it worked too.

I'm glad you got it figured out and fixed! So I guess the Lightning-to-USB adapter that you got with the used iPad mini 2 was defective? I wonder if the original owner damaged it somehow.
