Roland A 70... How do I get sound out of this thing???

I have been blessed with a Roland A70 Expandable controller. Kind of tricky for my first ever keyboard. I just want to know the different ways to get sound out of it. I know I can get an interface and hook it to the computer and play it thru a software (I think) I just need some help as far as options for what i can do. Please help me start composing classics!!!!

Aside from using the computer with virtual synths (Google VST software) to see what's available you can also use the keyboard as a controller for hardware MIDI Rack Modules and make it sound like anything under the sun.

A couple of modules worth looking at are the Waldorf Blofeld Desktop, The Muse Receptor Line and the Yamaha Motif Rack Series.

You can even combine hardware modules with other modules or even with the computer VSTs to create all sorts of split and layered sounds.

It all boils down to how much you want to spend and how hard you want to work at learning your hardware. Think of every synth as a custom computer with its own custom operating system
