I am transcribing the my own piano music. I need a keyboard that has excellent key response but not too expensive. The one I have is Alesis61 which is very hit and miss creating incorrect notational values. Can anyone recommend anything.

Take a look at the Arturia Keylab Series.

I own a Keylab Essential 49 and it's very responsive. Much better than the Alesis QX49 and M-Audio Oxygen which preceded it.
