Hey guys, I'm having a problem, I'm trying to set up my yamaha ypt-300 as a midi device and I got the sound to work but it will only play a sound with about a full 5 seconds of time before it registers another note again, this happens even if I spam a key. Help would be appreciated. Also, it's registering one note at a time, will not let me play chords.

A few questions about your setup.
Is your keyboard connected to a Windows computer or a Mac?
If it's a Mac, is it an Intel machine or an Apple Silicon machine?
Are you using a midi interface between your keyboard and your computer or do you connect directly with a USB cable.
Does your computer have the most recent Yamaha device driver for the operating system you're using ?
Is FL Studio set up to recognize the correct port type and parameters on the computer?

Sounds like a MIDI loop situation regardless of platform.
What are his MIDI routing options in FL Studio.
Sounds to me like he needs to fuss with the MIDI options in the software to fix this.
I've never used FL though so I can't be any more specific.
