recommend audio firewire 800 interface

I'm planning on getting a new mac with a Firewire 800 port and I want to use this live with Native Instruments and a sequencer (Logic Studio or similar), with external midi control keyboard. (see also my other post about the laptop setup)

I'm trying to find a simple audio interface with Firewire 800; I don't need a lot of extra inputs - all the interface needs to do is run MIDI to the laptop and audio out. There are all sorts of interfaces with Firewire 400 but all I can find with 800 are very expensive and way beyond what I need. Can anyone recommend an interface that fits this need? Am I ok with a Firewire 400 interface? Thanks for any input.

check out the RME fireface 800. they are a bit expensive but they are great!
