Tyros 5 midi problem

Hi I am a new comer to this forum. I am finding it very difficult to connecting my laptop to my Yamaha tyros 5. Can anyone help, I have looked at the manual but still find it hard. Thans in advance.

What operating system does your laptop use? Not just Windows, Mac, Linux, or whatever, but also the version and whether it's a 32-bit or 64-bit OS?

Hi I use window 10 64bit.

I think the Tyros5 might be USB-MIDI class-compliant, such that you might not need to use Yamaha's USB-MIDI driver with it. See if it shows up in your MIDI software without installing the driver.

If it turns out that you do need the driver, make sure you're using version 3.1.4 of the Windows 64-bit Yamaha USB-MIDI driver:

You should also verify that your laptop meets the system requirements for CPU speed, memory size, and hard disk drive space.
