What is it with Post Modern Jukebox?

Ignoring the vocalist they always sound incredible, yet stick a vocalist in front of them and you never know what you are getting, some are fantastic, others like a screeching cat, and yet others sound like they have trying to remove the sand from their briefs.

I cannot understand why PMJ have such a wide variety of vocalists.

I think that's just their "thing."

Honestly calling them a "band" is a misnomer.

What they truly are is a showcase organization or orchestra comprised of a variety of session players loosely centered around the keyboard stylings of Scott Bradlee.

Truth be told, it's not only the vocalists on a rotation basis but truthfully every band member but Scott who comes and goes from song to song.

Personally I like the fact that they constantly feature new talent in the band. It keeps the act fresh.

One other thing. Since nobody's permanent, nobody can get greedy when it comes to splitting the cheque. Brilliant really :D :D :D

Hey Col . .
The "Beautiful" cover by PMJ was indeed beautiful. Nice version.
I have added it to my play list.

My currrent play list is full of rarities of which can be lost if not saved.
To get onto my playlist . .it has to be good :)

Common everyday stuff is not on my playlist. btw.

You may not like this one Gary
But it gives me goosebumps.
The voice is sensational!
The climax (vocals) is thrilling!
The piano is very bluesy.
This is a cover to rival the original version . . IMO.

Fire up the hashpipe, pour a couple of shots of absinthe and let's journey back thru time to 1968 to listen to one of Jim Morrison's final concerts.

I give you, The Doors! Live at the Hollywood Bowl....

Enjoy :)

Gary ;)
