Even simpler method.
1) Record your beats and bass into a DAW for the length of a song.
2) Transpose all or parts of it in the DAW to your liking.
3) Play it back thru the SR-18 in whatever key signatures he likes.
4) Record the rest of your sequence.
At least that's how I'd do it.
