Yamaha DGX660 - IS IT ME?

Is it me, or does it not make sense that I should be able to record a song with a style - I'd like to record "UserSong" of myself playing a song WITH the Style (beat #180). Can't figure out how to record WITH the beat - seems like this should be an obvious thing to do, but it seems the option to start recording myself playing along with the beat just isn't present. Ready to pull my hair out and feeling a bit dense. lol...someone please provide VERY clear step-by-step directions. My hair follicles thank you in advance.

It depends on the firmware , on my Yamaha PSR9000 this could not do but after upgrade to V3 it worked fine. Bas+ beat+notes but do note midi from the PSR9000 can NOT play on other synthesizers.
